AZeotropy, IIT Bombay is one of India's leading Annual Chemical Engineering Symposium happening today. We are a non-profit organisation aiming to manifest the spirit of Chemical Engineering in students at an All India level with a participation of 350+ colleges, 100+ corporate houses with 50+ industrialists of the field. It consolidates an interesting mix of competitions, talks, exhibitions, workshops, brainstorming and fun. In line with these intentions, AZeotropy promises to span the length and breadth of Chemical Engineering. AZeotropy is an event with something for every budding chemical engineer. Whoever thought chemical engineering isn't fun is in for a surprise!
CHEMICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
The Department of Chemical Engineering at IIT Bombay was started in 1958, with assistance from the Soviet Union under a UNESCO Aid Scheme. The department today boasts of a wide range of sophisticated, experimental and computational facilities, built up through infrastructure-supports, grants and research projects from various Governmental Agencies as well as industries. The intensity of R&D engagement and industrial interaction of the department has been growing steadily with time. The department has a long-standing history of excellence in both undergraduate and graduate education. Currently, department has about 500 undergraduate, 160 M.Tech students and 100 working towards their Ph.D.
